Downtown Toronto was the place for street performers this past weekend and they could be spotted everywhere from Toronto Pearson International Airport to Yonge Street.  This was all in support of the Scotiabank Buskerfest for Epilepsy Toronto.  It is the largest most vibrant street festival in the world and is one of the few festivals that is able to shut down Yonge Street completely.  It provides entertainment for all age with performances from acrobats, fire acts, clowns, music, puppets, aerialists & much more!

The weekend festival kicked off on August 20th with the Scotiabank BuskerBall. This is a Fundraising Gala that brings together all the sponsors of BuskerFest, as well as people wanting to support an excellent cause.  Tickets can be purchased in advance and proceeds go towards Epilepsy Toronto.   This year LoveLee Promotions was in attendance serving up ice-cold Fireball cocktails (or Fireball on the rocks!).  The event definitely delivered and everyone was having an awesome time!  There were musical performers, acrobats, aerialists and so many other performances!  The night was also catered by some of the hottest restaurants in Toronto and also included a silent auction and ticket raffle for some amazing prizes.

The Scotiabank BuskerBall & BuskerFest brings the season of summer festivals in Toronto almost to a close, and it sure ends the summer with a bang!  If you haven’t experienced BuskerFest yet, I strongly suggest making it next year, you won’t be disappointed.

Scotiabank BuskerFest is the fundraising child of Epilepsy Toronto, epilepsy is the most common neurological disease, effecting every 1 in 100.  Epilepsy Toronto is an organization in Toronto that is committed to bettering the lives of people with epilepsy through support groups, programs, and counseling for over 50 years.
